I'll stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the customary face-off, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly happening.
